Learning in the Fast-Paced Classroom: Identifying and Addressing Linguistic Challenges, School Discourse and the Language of Instruction
Targeted to Professionals who work with Children who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing. Parents are also encouraged to attend.
Webinar Objectives: The Learner will:
· be familiar with changes in the needs of students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing in recent years
· be aware of the elements of evaluation and how those elements are used to plan and guide communication and learning
· know the effects of hearing loss on speech perception and auditory skill development
· comprehend the learning challenges inherent in the integrated classroom
· understand the essential components of instruction, curricular and communicative access
· identify factors that ensure access to the general education curriculum
