In my previous post about being called a f*ckn audist by Ricky Taylor, I stated that that would be the reason I would not allow my child to be around Deaf adults.
I apologize for that! I should not stereotype and I do know that he is not a representative for the Deaf Community. When I wrote that I was so angry that someone would just outright call me names not knowing me. I was raised differently and was taught to respect..
So to any and all Deaf adults, I do apologize sincerely for being that narrow minded.
I have no problem with my child being around Deaf people as long as they respect and accept him for who he is and not what they want him to be.. That goes the same for any hearing person!
